Cycling

This section is intended to be a valuable information resource for staff, students and others who like to cycle – be this for fun, as a commute or even competitively.

The site will provide information on cycle routes, highlight the work of the University Cycling Group and promote cycle events – and hopefully much more.

Below are some photos of the July 2015 Aber-Bangor Partnership bike ride, which saw staff from both Institutions take part in the 85 mile Bangor to Aberystwyth trip.

Local Bike Rides for Women

Breeze cycle rides for women. A friendly, easy paced, circular ride from Penrhyn Castle.
Sun 20 Mar 2016 ~ 10:00 - 11:30. Book online here

Breeze is a program aimed at getting more women riding bikes. The program includes a network of women's social rides across the UK that are all led by qualified ride leaders - Breeze Champions. Any woman can join a Breeze Ride - they go at the pace of the slowest rider and no one is left behind. Most rides include a cafe / picnic / pub stop and the distance and type of ride will be given in the information.

Please feel free to contact your local Breeze Champion, Esther Griffiths on esther.griffiths@bangor.ac.uk or to join the Breeze Gwynedd Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1675405132678343/ where all local rides are posted.
