Walking

Most years a group University staff take a sponsored walk up Snowdon to raise funds for Ty Gobaith, if you would like to see some pictures of previous walks please click on the links:

By walking the daily recommended steps, 10,000 steps a day (about five miles) you can give yourself a healthy heart and reduce your body fat. Walking can also increase your muscle tone, boost your metabolism, ease stress, raise energy levels and improve sleep. The great thing about walking is that it can be easily fitted into your daily routine and it's free, so why not go out and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery our area has to offer.

Featured on our Lunchtime Walks webpage are some walks from various points on the Bangor and Menai Bridge sites and also some historical walks to get to know the area. We hope in the future to cover walks from all of our sites for staff to enjoy.

For a range of walks to do from where you live or the Wrexham campus please go to the Walking for Leisure webpage. Walks range from the Snowdonia mountains, Lleyn Peninsula, Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path and the County of Conwy.
